David Trewitt holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Texas
Wesleyan University, and also attended the University of Texas at
Arlington. As the newest member of the Trinity Trojan Band Staff, Mr.
Trewitt’s duties will include: Coordinator of Percussion for the
Trinity cluster, director of the Trojan Marching Band, director of the
Concert Band, teaching beginning percussion at Harwood, Euless, and
Central Junior High Schools, as well as assisting with the Symphonic
Band and Wind Ensemble at Trinity High School.
Mr. Trewitt was
previously Assistant Band Director and Percussion Coordinator for
Mansfield High School from 2002-2007 where he conducted the Concert and
Symphonic Bands, assisted with the Marching Band and the Wind Ensemble.
Under his direction, the Concert and Symphonic Bands both received
Division I ratings, and the Mansfield Drum line won numerous awards at
several contest and festivals, including 5th place at the
Lone Star Drumline Classic (Standstill I Division) and highest score in
Percussion at the 2006 Tournament of Champions Marching Contest
(Finals).
Mr. Trewitt is a proud
product of Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent Schools, has been married
for 19 years and has three awesome kids: Aaron, Delaney, and McKenna.
